KCL has re-hooked RCCL

Finally, our KCL NOA lifeboat hook has entered the market in earnest. After a lengthy dialogue with the Royal Caribbean Group, KCL was finally in a position to debut the replacement of all lifeboat hook systems on the ship Navigator of the Seas.

The project involved replacing and installing a new LRRS system with 10-tonne hooks for a total of 26 lifeboats, where each lifeboat holds 150 people.

Our CEO-Managing Director Vegard Solheim says

«We are very proud to have been able to deliver our safety system on RCCL's lifeboats, which is safer and better than the solutions available on the market today. We are extremely satisfied that our lifeboat hooks have now entered the market, and that these meet all requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and that there is now in use the only solution that does not depend on dispensation from the authorities.

We are also very grateful that the world's second largest cruise line chose KCL as a supplier of its safety solution on its lifeboats, and that they gave KCL the chance and opportunity to debut on such a scale»
